At the end of Friday we leave by car for probably the 10th time to the beautiful National Park of the Hoge Veluwe near Beekbergen.
We have recently come here, and we are not tired of it yet. Every spot is unique. And if you think you have seen something, you will come across something that you have not seen yet. We were lucky with the weather. When we drove away on Friday evening, it rained quite a bit and this did not bode well, however upon arrival the rain disappeared quickly and we were able to take a nice walk in the woods at the hotel.
Our previous trip to this area was at the end of June. Then we went to the other side of the national park, at the Hoenderloo area. If you enter the park of the Veluwe here, you will end up in a beautiful environment of forest, heath and strolling area. a real relief if you are used to the busy city life.
I especially enjoy walking and taking pictures here, there are also plenty of nice places in the vicinity of the national park where you can eat or spend the night. One of these gems where you can go is “restaurant hotel Buitenlust”.
Here they understand what hospitality means. The restaurant is really top notch, and we plan to book our next visit to this beautiful area here. For this trip we went to a Fletcher hotel in Beekbergen. Great hotel, very simple. Food is good only the room decor was very dated. But what do you want if you are only here to spend the night. During the day you are on the road.
Saturday, August 29, 2020.
It’s a shame to sleep in for a long time when you’re here and we have something planned for today. In the morning we decided to drive towards the Posbank because the heather here is currently so beautifully colored purple, and we would like to see this with our own eyes. After having walked quite a bit, we met at friends of ours in Empe around noon. Deliciously invited for lunch which has been super fun. Then we decided to drive on towards the Loenemark park, hoping to spot some wildlife here.
Unfortunately, it suddenly started to rain a bit harder and we left a little earlier. It is now dinner time and we drive towards Hoenderloo to have dinner at restaurant hotel Buitenlust. On our way here we came across a wild deer. If you know me a little, you know that it should be in the picture :). and I was able to make a beautiful record of this.
After a delicious Dinner we had the Hoge Veluwe National Park on the list because we wanted to photograph the deer at the end of the day. Then you have the best chance.
We were not the only one with those thoughts, the park was quite busy in the evenings. And as if it had to be, it cleared up and there was also a little sun. As a result, we were still able to make pretty nice pictures.
